Sample Costa Rica Itinerary |
This trip provides an experience of learning and adventure with components of science, the Spanish language, Latin American culture, and service.
Note: Departure will be the night before day one or early morning of
day one.
DAY 1
Arrive at San Jose
(Sights and meals to be determined by flight time arrival)
Motor to Monteverde with multiple stops to view wildlife and countryside
Arrive in Monteverde with guided night hike in the cloud forest-Bring your flashlight or headlamp to look for eyes peering at you thru the forest
Hotel check in and dinner
DAY 2
Hotel Breakfast
Depart for Selvatura - Soar over the jungle canopy on this amazing zipline adventure
Check out the hanging bridges as you hike thru the cloud forest looking for amazing birds, butterflies and more
Lunch
Depart for Arenal with a scenic drive around Lake Arenal
Dinner and pool/spa time at the hotel
DAY 3
Hotel Breakfast
Sights today may include the Arenal Volcano National Park and or the Fortuna Waterfall hike with swimming along the way
Lunch during activities
Afternoon and evening we will visit a true Organic Farm and get our hands dirty while we learn to use the land and not harm the environment
Dinner
Free time at hotel
DAY 4
Hotel Breakfast
Depart hotel 
Visit with local children to learn about our friends from Costa Rica at a school In Huetares
Lunch
Visit a Butterfly farm and also view many animals for Costa Rica Sights as time allows as we head to the Caribbean Coast
Check into hotel
Dinner
Free time at hotel Optional night walk along the beach to search for turtles
DAY 5
Hotel Breakfast
Beach day at Cahuita National Park
Hike along the beach and look for wildlife such as macaws and monkeys
Lunch at beach
Snorkeling Tour off the shore in National Park
Return to hotel for free time-Dinner
Walk to town with guides to check out the local shops
DAY 6
Hotel Breakfast
Check out of hotel
Motor to put in - Rafting the whitewater of this class II and III river
Lunch en route
Motor to hotel outside San Jose
Dinner at Hotel
DAY 7
Hotel Breakfast
Sights in the am as time allows
Motor to airport late morning for flight home
