DAY ONE

10:45: Groups arrive in Phoenix; meet Grand Classroom representative at baggage claim

11:30:  Depart airport

12:30:  Lunch in Phoenix

2:30   Montezuma’s Castle National Monument

Drive through Sedona with short hike-The Vortex-en route to Flagstaff

4:00:   Depart for Flagstaff

5:30:   Dinner

6:00:   Check into hotel

7:00 Meeting with guides to prepare for Havasu

DAY TWO

6:00:   Hotel Breakfast

7:00:   Depart for Havasupai

9:00:  Arrive at trailhead

3:00:   Arrive at campground

3:00-5:00 Set up camp

5:00 Swim at Havasu Falls

6:30:  Dinner at Camp

DAY THREE

This day will be spent exploring the canyon, swimming in Navajo/Havasu and Mooney Falls. We will break into groups of 5-7 kids per guide to do our exploring.

DAY FOUR

5:00:   Breakfast and prepare for hike out of canyon

 6:00 Depart  

1:00 Meet bus for trip to Flagstaff

Lunch en route

4:00 Hotel-rest by the pool

7:00 Dinner

8:00 Rock Climbing

DAY FIVE 

8:00:   Depart for Page, AZ 

Tour Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monument en route

12: 00:  Lunch in Page

1:00:  Arrive at River Outfitter

1:30 – 4:30:   Float trip on the Colorado River

7:00:   Dinner

8:00:   Return to hotel

DAY SIX

7:00:   Hotel Breakfast

Students put bags on bus

9:30:   Arrive Grand Canyon National Park

9:30-12:30 Hike the South Kaibab Trail

Guides focus on geology of canyon 

1:00:  Hike and Lunch at Mather Point

• Desert View Watchtower

• Little Colorado River-Navajo Reservation

• Shopping at Cameron Trading Post

Snack on way to airport for evening flight

Groups will depart on evening or night flight-West Coast groups will arrive home Saturday night and East Coast groups will arrive home the following morning
