    Midday arrival at Outer Banks, North Carolina

    Lunch at Jockey's Ridge

    Jockey's Ridge State Park - Visit the tallest living sand dunes on the East Coast and learn about the park's three ecosystems

    Wright Brother's National Memorial - See where Orville and Wilbur Wright changed the world

    Check into hotel

    Dinner

    DAY TWO 

    Hotel breakfast

    Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education - Explore North Carolina's wildlife, natural history and heritage. Sample programs include:

    • Animal Olympics
    • Sound Discoveries
    • Yuck! Nasty Nature

    Corolla's Wild Horse Adventure - Learn about the descendants of the Spanish Mustangs as you watch the horses run free and possibly play in the surf

    Box Lunch

    Currituck Beach Lighthouse - North Carolina's only lighthouse still housed in its original structure - Built in 1874 it stands 158 feel tall

    Free time at the beach

    Fort Raleigh National Historic Site - See where Sir Walter Raleigh and his explorers attempted to found a settlement in 1585 at the north end of Roanoke Island. It's also the home of the Freedman's Colony, a recognized National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom site.

    North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island - Learn about the many coastal environments of the Outer Banks and see the Aquarium's 285,000-gallon Graveyard of the Atlantic tank
