WEATHER

This is an outdoor adventure, so remember to think PRACTICAL over fashionable.

February – March

Spring in Northern Arizona has a high temperature around 55 and a low at night around 20.  Be prepared for anything!  We could experience warmer days or we could have cold rain and snow. The most important thing is to be prepared for wet and cold weather with waterproof clothing and enough layers. You can always take the layers off if it is warm.

April – May

Late spring typically has high temperatures in the 60s and lows in the 30s.  Again always be prepared for wet and cold weather.

June - September

Summer in Northern Arizona is typically sunny with high temperatures in the 80s and lows at night in the 40s. HOWEVER, June is the beginning of the monsoon season, where rain can come in quickly and the temperature can drop dramatically.  We could have beautiful, sunny 80 degree days or we could have cold rain or snow.

October – November

Fall typically has high temperatures in the 60s and lows in the 20s. Beautiful fall days are typical but rain and snow happen throughout the fall and winter months, be prepared.

December – January

Winter typically has high temperatures in the 40s and lows in the teens.  Snow is likely.

We suggest that you check the weather online at www.intellicast.com in the days leading up to the trip. The code to type in for Grand Canyon weather is GCN.
